Cultural heritage sites at Børstadlunden

Børstadlunden is a recreation area with many cultural heritage sites from the recent and more distant past.

By following the heritage trail through the woods, you can learn more about Børstadlunden’s interesting history.

There are six thematic signs along the trail.

In addition, the signs have QR codes that take you to more detailed information, maps, and the sign texts translated into English.

Protected archaeological site

The entire Børstadlunden site is protected.

Here, the cultural heritage localities are both visible above ground and hidden under the surface. These remains are important for our understanding of the past, and are fragile.

All forms of digging and moving of stones is therefore forbidden throughout Børstadlunden, as per the Cultural Heritage Act  §§ 3, 4 and 6.
